When & Where: Francis Fest is a community celebration on May 4 from 10 am to 4 pm at St. James.
What: Join us for a plant sale, food offerings, thrift store deals, children’s art make and take, talk with Franciscan Sisters, browse the used book sale, meet and greet with master gardeners, and check out community resources!
Why: In medieval Europe, St. Francis of Assisi turned away wealth to care for those around him and the environment. He joyfully treated all he encountered with compassion, including plants, animals, and Mother Earth. His radical example encourages us to do the same today for our community! How you can help: We will be collecting:
Gently used books for a book sale (no cookbooks, please)
Plants for our plant sale
Cardboard flat boxes to carry plants
Recycled items for a creative art booth
